Good VPN, mediocre app

As of 2019, the App VPN service is one of the more reliable in China. Even though servers regularly stop working — presumably blocked by the Firewall — they’re almost always quickly replaced. It even works on my 4G. It’s a shame that the app is so bad: (Edit: even with version 2.2.4, the latest version as of early December 2019, these issues persist) - Quite often the app gets stuck on the login screen. When that happens, the only way to fix it so you can use your internet again is apparently to restart your phone, or in some cases to uninstall the VPN profile. - Turning on the “reconnect VPN” makes it nearly impossible to turn off the VPN. The app apparently can’t distinguish between the VPN switching to off because it dropped the connection, and because the user hit the Off switch: it tries to reconnect in both cases. - Connecting to a server sometimes shows random error messages like “IPC Error”. Sometimes it’ll work if you try a few times, so maybe the app should just do this? - There’s no feature like in the VPN router or in the desktop client to automatically connect to one of your favorite servers. You sit there for a minute or two trying a bunch of servers one by one until one of them works. Internet life in China is a frustrating experience, and this app does nothing to make it better. Will I continue paying for the service? Yes, because it works. And I’ll curse this app every time I have to touch it.

Love this app and this time I get Black Friday prices 😋😋😋🤪 Service is a bit slow, but not so many questions to ask them! I try some other vpns they are a chicken 😂😂 but the App vpn is a Eagle

Awful App

I’m in the UAE and within a week I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app several times. It’s ridiculous! Nothing is working with the app. I’m not receiving my text messages, emails, can’t get on Facebook, can’t video chat, or anything else. I have to turn the app off to get my text messages. We are paying way too much money to have horrible service. Please fix this problem!

So sad

Used to be the best. I have been using this app for more than 3 years and unfortunately have to admit that the last year it’s working terrible. I’m staying in China and using this app every day. I don’t know what happened with the service but I experience troubles with App quite often. The price for annual membership has been increased to 120$ compare to 90$ that i paid last year tho the quality is way worse than before. Not gonna pay and use it again
